I can’t believe I haven’t shared this recipe yet! This is hands down my favourite pasta dish ever. Every single person that has ever tried it has always asked for seconds. I just finished dinner, and yet I still could not stop drooling while I typed out this recipe. It is that good.
Fettucine Natasha with creamy vodka smoked salmon sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 shallot, chopped (or a couple of TBS chopped onion)
- 1 large clove garlic, minced (or more if you prefer)
- 120 g (1/4 lb) smoked salmon, cut into thin strips
- 1 tomato, diced
- garlic salt
- pepper
- 3 tbsp vodka
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- fettucine
- freshly grated parmesan cheese
- chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp black caviar (optional)
Directions:
Step 1: Melt butter in medium pan on medium heat.
Step 2: Add shallot or onion. Cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, then cook until golen.
Step 3: Add smoked salmon and tomato on high heat. Season with garlic salt and pepper, then cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Pour in vodka. Reduce to medium low, then simmer for about 5 minutes.
Step 5: Pour in cream, then simmer on low until reduced by about half (~15 minutes).
Step 6: Meanwhile, cook the fettucine in a large pot of boiling water. Drain.
Step 7: Put fettucine in serving bowl. Add creamy sauce and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with parmesan and garnish with parsley and caviar.
Enjoy!
